Brand new iPad Visual Facilitation Workflow

Have to say, things have gotten a lot easier for VFs using iPads with this new technology. Perhaps not necessarily a good workflow for finished video scribes, but I’m sure many of you will enjoy hearing about this new technique.

Also, if you’re an iPad user and you haven’t seen Tunewear’s Pencil stylus, you should check it out! It’s absolutely the best I’ve seen, and I’ve tried

    Hi Chipp,

Thanks for sharing the video. Lots of interesting possibilities! Question for you — it looks like AirServer is only compatible with the iPad 2, not the original iPad. Can you confirm this? Are you using an iPad 2?

    Chipp,

As always, thanks so much for trying the technologies out for us all and letting us know what you like. It’s much appreciated!

    Hi Rachel,

Yes, you are correct. Advanced mirroring is only available on iPad2. Some minimal mirroring is available on iPad1, like YouTube playback for instance. I doubt the original iPad’s supports drawing apps at all.

    Hi,

Thanks for the recommendation re the Tunewear’s Pencil stylus and the great blog.

I’m in the UK and can’t find anyone that stocks them though. Can I ask what your second choice stylus would be? I’ve brought a very cheap one and was quickly frustrated.
