Recently, I was involved in creating a product focused on Cumulus clouds code-named, “CloudPak.” Because of some unforeseen problems, it appears that product won’t end up making it to market. But, a lot of work was completed and I thought I’d share some of the information I’ve learned while working on the project. So, while the PDF here isn’t a full blown “CloudPak” project, it can be considered a work-in-progress and hopefully will lend insight into how one might go about creating their own cloudscape atmospheres. I hope you find this useful.

Brilliant work as usual Chipp. The cloud settings have always been a major mystery to me and I’m sure others as well. Thanks for doing this.
Excellent stuff, Chipp. May I ask how you were able to create the starting point cloud from a sphere if not using a metacloud?
It’s always a pleasure to read your excellent tutorials, and this one was missing for Vue…Thank you for sharing
Thanks Chipp
THANK YOU!!!! Clouds have long been a HUGE mystery for me… and as Dave said, many others as well. Anything to help my knowledge along is greatly appreciated, and I cannot tell you just how much…. but thank you, from the bottom of my heart =D
Thank You!!!!
I’ve never felt like I knew what I was doing, messing with Meta-clouds. Once I’ve loaded Vue 8 I will definatley be working with this!
Excellent craftsmanship, Chipp! This is very good. Like some others, I am lost in model-making and havent time to do justice to Vue itself. Your generous sharing gives me a great “leg-up” on an important area of Vue. Thank you very much for doing this/
THANK YOU !!!
A Really appreciated thing !
You’re the MAN…
this is a very welcome gift, thank you very much!!
You’re a scholar and a gentleman, Sir! Excellent work, and thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks a bunch! It is great to have information about what slider does what. And what are the important sliders. Puts more jou in trying to get what I try!
How did you create the sphere cloud in the first place? I would like to sculpt my own clouds too!
You should be able to see how it was made in the Function Editor.
Yeah this a great introduction to clouds in Vue. However I agree with the above – could you explain to us how you got the initial cloud sphere which we’re then able to sculpt using your tutorial?
Please look in the Function Editor for the cloud material. There you will find the way to create a cloud sphere.
ok cheers i’ve found it. Sorry bit of a Vue newbie, what would be the best way of duplicating it to make several clouds?
Thank you… that is very nice of you to share this with everyone else…
Vue is a great program but it isn’t that widespread and we need more books and “formal” material on how to work with it….. I wish there were more people like you who would share and let everyone know what you can achieve with it…
